On stage at the election, the following are approaching the stage:

Captain Riley asks that everyone on stage submit to the spell-lock shackles to help prevent any tampering. Kabel swipes Artair’s shackle key from Captain Riley.
Captain Riley, Kilo, Artair, and Galahad are all on stage, while Kabel stays in the crowd.
Minnie says that she’s willing to step down and give her vote to Thora, but Artair tries to convince her to vote for Kilo instead.
While Kilo is speaking, a shadow appears and swallows up Thora and Galahad. Galahad is able to slip back out, and a large, three-headed creature appears. It begins swallowing up civilians into a shadow realm. As the party defeats it, some citizens appear back in the plaza, but many are still missing, including Captain Riley and Thora.
As the crowd continues in chaos, Kabel sees a handkerchief flapping in a window, so he and the party go to investigate. They find Jo in the room, and she invites Kabel to come to a demi-plane that Mina found for her. She plans on training and preparing to fight Vidae in the future, and she wants to take the opportunity to get to know Kabel better. Kabel accepts, and as Jo reads a spell from a scroll, Kabel steps through a portal with her and disappears.
Artair and Galahad head to the chapel library and find a book that describes the shadow realm, and Galahad makes a deal with his scimitar to guide them through the realm to find his dad. The party decides to rest for the night before heading down the trap door in the church to the shadow realm.
As they awake, a horse shoe flies through one of the stained-glass windows, and Colt Hipp jumps through, yelling about disgusting horse worshipers.
